One of COHORT’s PhD students, Ariana Kong, was able to share her experience in creating partnerships for research with Aboriginal people late last year. This, along with the experiences of others have been combined into a video by Maridulu Budyari Gumal, SPHERE.
New York University (NYU) highlights its collaboration with COHORT
The latest newsletter from the New York University College of Nursing’s Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice (OHNEP) program features their collaboration with COHORT following the visit of their program director- A/Prof Erin Hartnett to Sydney late last year. Erin is now an Adjunct Associate Professor with Western Sydney University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery and will assist COHORT in training undergraduate and practicing nurses and midwives in Australia.

COHORT partners with key stakeholders to launch Australian Network for Integration of Oral Health (NIOH)
On the 12th of November 2019, Australia’s first Nework for the Integration of Oral Health had its launch at the 2nd Asia Pacific Conference on Integrated Care at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Victoria. This launch was attended by various organisations, researchers and policy makers from across the country, and was inaugurated by A/Prof Erin Hartnett, the program director of Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice at New York University.
Key presentations were also provided by A/Prof Rachel Martin, Prof Hanny Calache, and A/Prof Ajesh George. This launch was supported by the US National Interprofessional Inititative on Oral Health (NIIOH).
Researcher Support
This launch was supported by researchers around the country, including Dr Meng-Wong Tiang, who submitted a video to explain how NIOH could benefit him.

A/Prof Erin Hartnett visits COHORT

This November we were honoured to have A/Prof Erin Hartnett, the program director of Oral Health Nursing and Practice (OHNEP) from the New York University College of Nursing come and visit COHORT. As part of this visit, A/Prof Hartnett gave the following presentations:

The impact of nursing on oral health across the lifespan
