COHORT presentations at IADR

COHORT was well represented this year at the 4th Asia Pacific Regional Congress of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR-APR 2019) held in Brisbane from 28-30 Nov 2019. One of COHORT’s PhD students, Nidhi Saraswat, presented a systematic review of general medical practitioners’ views towards oral cancer, and was also asked to chair a session at the conference.

In addition, COHORT’s director, Ajesh George, presented a study on providing undergraduate oral health training to midwifery students in Sydney. We are very proud of these researchers in spreading the word regarding our current projects!

COHORT’s collaboration in the Big Apple…

In mid-June 2019, our Research Officer and PhD student Amy Villarosa had an opportunity to meet with Dr Erin Hartnett, the Program Director for the NYU College of Nursing’s oral health programs, and her team at New York University. The oral health programs currently being directed by Dr Hartnett include the Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice (OHNEP) program and the Teaching Oral Systemic Health (TOSH) program. We are very excited to have established this new international collaboration and look forward to our future work together.
